Poetry in double time. A rustling revolution
23.01.2010 > 23.05.2010 | Bruggemuseum - Gezelle, Rolweg, Brugge
www.dubbeltijd.be | map

‘Poetry in double time’ is a new, biennial project with poetry and visual arts, integrated in historic locations in the Sint-Anna quarter. In 2010 the spotlight is on Guido Gezelle who was an experimental avant la lettre. From the 19th century he gave new élan to Dutch poetry in the 20th century.
Poems from the 19th and 20th century, with Gezelle as their source of inspiration, are presented visually and aurally. They show Gezelle's revolutionary impact on the poetry of the following decades. Visual artists get to work with topics relating to language.
